This policy applies to all users of Storytime for Toddlers, including parents or guardians acting on behalf of children. It outlines how we manage both personal and non-personal data collected by the app and related services.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect information directly from users or automatically through the use of our app. This includes:

Identifiers: Name, email address, login provider, user ID.
Purchase History: Information about purchased credits, subscriptions, and usage of promotions or free offers.
Generated Content: Story preferences, choices, and image or character selections tied to your account.
Product Interaction: Feature usage (e.g., story creation, narration purchases), user flows, and screen interactions.
Usage Data: Page visits, navigation patterns, and time spent on screens.
Attribution Data: Facebook Click Identifier (FBCLID), Facebook Pixel ID (FBP), hashed email address (used with Meta Conversions API).
Payment Data: Handled securely by Stripe—we do not store or access your credit card number.

We link some of this data to your account for personalization, support, and analytics. We do not collect device-level identifiers such as IDFA or advertising ID.

3. Child Privacy and COPPA Compliance

Storytime for Toddlers is designed for families and children under 13. To comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental consent.
Parent or guardian consent is required to create an account.
Parents may review or delete their child’s data by contacting us at support@storytimefortoddlers.com.

4. Account Registration

Creating an account requires a parent’s email and consent. This enables us to:

Store your family’s story progress and earned credits
Link narration purchases to the correct account
Personalize future story experiences

5. Third-Party Service Providers (Subprocessors)

We rely on trusted services to operate and improve the app. These providers only use data as necessary to perform contracted services:

Firebase (Google) – Authentication, database, and storage Google Privacy

Meta may use hashed email, FBCLID, and FBP for attribution and ad event matching. We do not use or store device-level advertising IDs.

6. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Operate and improve the app
Create personalized story experiences
Attribute new installs or actions to marketing campaigns (Meta CAPI)
Respond to support requests
Process payments
Send transactional or essential service messages (non-optional)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not serve third-party ads or enable behavioral tracking across other apps or websites.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain your data only as long as needed to deliver our services and meet legal or operational requirements. Data is encrypted where appropriate, and we follow best practices for security and compliance.

8. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting support@storytimefortoddlers.com. We will verify your identity and remove your data from our systems and subprocessors. Some backups may be retained temporarily for integrity and recovery.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using Storytime for Toddlers, you consent to this international data transfer.

10. Sale or Transfer of Business

If our business is sold, acquired, or merged, your data may be transferred to the successor organization under this same privacy policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. All changes will be posted in the app or on our website. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
